A System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit has been successfully completed by USDC issuer Circle. An indication of how seriously Circle takes the security of its clients’ data is the fact that it has undergone an audit in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Type 2 audits provide a more all-encompassing picture of a company’s data regime than SOC 2 Type 1 reports, which only look at the architecture of security systems at one point in time.
